The gold-colored smartphone dubbed "Trump Mobile T1," announced under the name of U.S. President Donald Trump, has failed to hit the market even after its scheduled release date. With multiple deadlines having passed without any physical evidence of the device, tech analysts and prospective buyers are raising serious doubts about the phone's future.

The phone was first announced in June 2025, with an initial promise that it would reach consumers by August or September. When that window passed, the official Trump Mobile website updated its release timeframe to "late this year." However, as 2026 begins, the same vague message remains, and no new specific schedule has been provided.

The most controversial aspect of the situation is that despite the absence of the product, customers have already paid $100 for pre-orders. Those who paid have received neither the phone nor a confirmed delivery date.

According to the Financial Times, Trump Mobile’s customer service department admitted in December 2025 that production and supply chain delays were caused by a government shutdown in the U.S. Subsequently, the company also softened its initial claim that the phone would be manufactured entirely within the United States.

Meanwhile, there are also complaints regarding the quality of Trump Mobile’s network services. Francisco Jeronimo, an analyst at the international tech research firm IDC, suggested that the company failed to realize just how complex smartphone manufacturing is at the start.

Overall, the "Trump Mobile T1" currently remains more of an uncertain announcement than a tangible product.
